I just received some news that compelled me to write this post.
One of my daughters is about to graduate from 8th grade and the school she has been at for 10 years (St. Monica Catholic School). The mother of one of her classmates was diagnosed with cancer last week and today, a week later, she is on life support.
There are many things that are being done collaboratively, one being a quickly organized rosary (meditative prayer) at St. Monica Catholic Church later today to pray for her healing.
I’ve shared before that the test of collaboration is being collaborative when things are not going your way, not just when things are going your way.
Today, I’ve been reminded of another test – being collaborative in everyday interactions with others like you do when there is a crisis. Asking for help, offering help or doing something kind just to name a few collaborative behaviors.
