It’s 3:30p and I’m driving as fast as I can to a 4p meeting that is still 60 miles away. En-route I call my colleague with whom I have the meeting and ask if we can meet at 4:30p. He replies that he has another meeting afterwards and must leave for it by 5p.

He follows-up by asking if we should reschedule….

….I reply that I will be there ASAP.

I arrive at our meeting location, look at my watch, look my colleague in the eye and share that the right relationships are worth driving 100 miles to visit for 38 minutes.

Nothing else was said about the matter and we launched into our agenda.

The point I wish to share is how loud actions actually speak. Consider finding ways to decrease the words you use and increase the actions.
