I’ve been working with a client recently who I’ve been playing tug-of-war with lately in regards to pacing their culture change to one of collaboration from command & control.
I want to move as swiftly as possible to achieve the result the client wants and they want to move at a slower pace. Not to obstruct, but to help the organization absorb the change at a pace that enables learning, observing and permanent change. They know their team members better than I do.
It’s important to have a range of talents, perspectives and subject matter expertise represented on the change management team and pay attention to what the team feels. It’s easier on you and the decisions will be better.
